Leave No Trace, Inc. is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting and inspiring outdoor recreation through education, research and partnerships. Leave No Trace builds awareness, appreciation and respect for our wildlands.

Friends of the Boundary Waters is an environmental organization whose sole focus is the protection and preservation of the beautiful wilderness canoe country--the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness and surrounding areas of the Quetico-Superior Ecosystem.

Northeastern Minnesotians for wilderness is a regional grassroots wilderness advocacy group founded in 1996. NMW now has members in chapters throughout Northeastern Minnesota as well as supporters in other areas.Their mission is to protect and preserve wilderness areas and wild places, advocate for the protection of the BWCAW and the enhancement of its wilderness aspect, and to foster education about the value of wilderness and wild places.
