Day 15 - March 1st
We made it to Gods Lake, the largest lake we will encounter during the Boreal Forest Project. It is one of the best fisheries in all of Manitoba. We'll try our luck!
Day 17 - March 3
We've received a warm welcome at Gods Lake Narrows. We've been spending time at the school, giving lots of dogsled rides and meeting new people. We've even been offered a few new dogs for our trip. Should we bring them along?
Day 22 - March 8
It's been slow travel today, but we're still on schedule to make it to Oxford House by the end of the week.
Day 24 March 10th, 2004
It's been very slow travel since we left Gods Lake Narrows. The trails haven't been used by dogsleds in a number of years. However, we expect to make it to Oxford House by the weekend.
Day 26 - March 12th
It finally got cold today. We traveled through blizzard-like conditions. Which, believe it or not, actually felt nice!
Day 29 - March 15th
We've reached Oxford House, which is a nice community. As always we've been given the royal treatment by the locals.
