More Tico Times Lessons!

Professional Car watchers, a different Tico profession.

After we left the airport this morning Pika took me to a small restaurant to get some food. After we walked out of the restaurant Pika gave a man standing next to the car 200 colones, about 50 cents. Pika said that this man's job is watching cars to make sure nothing happens to your car while you are eating. When you return to your car the tico thing to do is to give the car watcher a small amount of money for his services. All societies have different jobs, and different ways of doing things. I am looking forward to learning more about Tico culture and their ways of life and traditions.

Keep Exploring!
