Daily Dilemma

We are having trouble figuring out what we should bring with us to Costa Rica. Make a list of 5 things you think we should bring with us and use the shout out button below to send us your list!

Making our gear list and checking it twice!

We have been preparing for The Rainforest Project for over 6 months and I can hardly believe that we are finally packing our bags and getting ready to fly down to Costa Rica!

To prepare for this amazing learning adventure Eric and I have been researching Costa Rica and rainforest using Internet resources, books, and videos. As the final days before our departure fly by we are starting to pack our bags and make sure that we have everything we will need while we are in Costa Rica, with out bringing too many extraneous items that will weight us down and make it hard to travel.

How am I going to fit all of this stuff into my pack! Help! What should we bring? Tell us using today's Daily Dilemma.

Dave sets up the tent to make sure it is ready for the Rainforest!

However, Eric and I are not the only ones that need to prepare for this learning adventure. We need you to start your research so that you can make informed decisions for us. Remember it is up to you to decide where we will explore and what we will study as we investigate varied cultures and ecosystems.

This week we are planning to visit the Shedd Aquarium to get a taste of the rainforest before we fly to Costa Rica. We will also be visiting the Brookfield Zoo so that we can learn about some of the plants and animals that we might encounter in the rainforest. As we explore some stateside rainforest resources we need you to be learning about the rainforest as well. Use the Rainforest Library to start learning about Costa Rica's national parks and some of the plants and animals that we might encounter. You can also read today's Tico Times to learn about Pika, our newest learning adventure guide. Pika is from Costa Rica and will be joining us for The Rainforest Project.

Dave tests out the satellite phone and connects to the Internet for a mock update.

Make sure you help us with our Daily Dilemma. Tell us what you think we should bring with us to Costa Rica. Plus you can Cast Your Vote and decide what we should do during our first week in Costa Rica.
