The warmth of a canvas tent and wood stove!

"The tent soon warmed up as a fire crackled comfortable in the airtight (stove). A bed of spruce and balsam boughs allowed the sleeping robes to be rolled out. My trail companions stretched out, amazed that such comfort could be established in the wilderness in so short a time and with what, con dens ed in the shoulder packsacks, seemed to be such meager facilities."

Eric and I certainly agree that relaxing in our tent with the heat from the wood stove filling the tent is a wonderful feeling. The voyageurs definatly did not have it this easy!
