I was in heaven last week! Actually, I was in a cabin. We got to this town and Dave and Amy moved into a cabin. I thought we were going to stay here permanently. You see, it was real easy for me to get used to being an inside dog. I have no problem lying around all day inside, safe from bugs, out of the hot sun.
The only negative thing about this whole experience was that I only ate dog food while we were there. No fish. It is a tough trade-off, but I might just choose being inside over eating fish.
After a few days at this place Dave and Amy loaded up the canoe again. I guess we weren’t going to live there forever after all. Oh well. I hopped right in the canoe and got used to my old routine of napping in the boat. I’m not a fan of the portages, especially since my packs seem to have gotten heavier. Luckily there has been more boat-napping time than portage time. I do enjoy lounging on rocks too.
