Time Management
Daily Dilemma: Time Management
With just a few days left before entering the Amazon rainforest time is running
out. We still have a lot of things to do but since we only have a couple days,
some activities are just not going to get done. Please help us decide what is
the best way to manage our time. Below is a list of things we'd like to accomplish.
Let us know which activities to focus our time on and which ones we can do without.
Please give us reasons for your decisions.
Tour Lima's historical district and find out more about western Peruvian culture.
Talk with friends and family back home before leaving for five weeks.
Pick up medicine at a pharmacy in Lima, Peru.
Buy another battery for our video camera.
Watch a video made about the Amazon rainforest.
Get a haircut (we are all due for a trim).
Take a shower.
Medicine might be most handy to have when there are no other resources. Talking to family also would be a high priority. Battery purchase would extend the time of filming so you could share with the rest of us. Taking in as much of the local Lima experience as you can would enrich your descriptions back to us again. Haircut may seem lke an essential - you can get quite "wooly", though it could be a layer of protection from those pesky mosquitos. Shower & off you go (don't use too much perfumy stuff!) Good luck!

i think the most important thing is to talk with ur Family before you leave, then i would research and find out about the culture, then i would watch the movie about the amazon, next i would find a local pharmacy to get the medicine and the battery for your video camera, then instead of geting ur hair cut by a barber just buzz it a few weeks early so it will grow a little before you leave. Then the day you leave take a nice long shower so you can get a nice shower before you leave.

i think the most important thing to do is to find alot of things about animals and plants like find out what they like to eat and what animal they don't like. so the when you come back you can share your fun at the rain forest. some activities you could do is to try to make a house out of twigs and see if you can do it like the people on movies and then you can tell people that it ishard to make a house out of the matirials in the rainforest
thank you for your time amboy junior high school

I think you should go to the Tour Lima's historical district and find out more about western Peruvian culture because culture always changes and you might miss it if you don't go!!!!! Then i think you should go buy another battery so your camra does not go out when you are doing something cool!!!! After that I think You should go and pick up some medicine at the pharmacy because we dont want one of you guys getting sick and missing out on all the cool stuff (especially when you only have a little bit longer to be in Peru)!!!! After that I think you should call your family and friends because I am sure they want to know you are ok!! the rest of the stuff (watch a video, get hair cut, take a shower) I think you can do that later!! But you might want to keep up a little on you higeen!! But you dont get too do this a lot so enjoy yourself and make it last!!!!

Showers are important and you will need to have your hair as short as possible to be comfteable in the rain forest. I don't know how many battires for your video camera you have we don't want to miss anything back here at Congress Park I think you could always use another battery. I think your family would understand if you didn't say goodbuy because you have probably said it a bunch of times. Medicine is important for your health and saftey so buy that. I think you should not see that video because you guys and girls definitaly know enough to get by. It's up to you about the history stuff.(I think it's boring) I'll keep you posted.
