If you've ever tried fishing in a puddle, you probably haven't ever had much luck. But try fishing in a flooded forest--even in just six inches of water--and you might just catch yourself some dinner!

It turns out that some of the smaller species of fish, the shuyo and piranhas, for example, love to lurk in the flooded forest when they can, away from the larger predators in the lakes and river channels.

We set a net in a very shallow section of flooded forest near Lake El Dorado in hopes of catching some shuyo for a meal.

How did we do? Watch and see!
