Today we heard two troops of howler monkeys battle it out for territorial supremacy. It was really loud! Although we hear howler monkeys every day, and we see howler monkeys every few days or so, we still haven't actually seen any howler monkeys howling. We'll keep looking! You can hear the howler monkeys from miles away. At first, they sound like a pack of very distant lions. But as you get closer, the dull roar grows to a deafening pitch, blasting our eardrums as we float down the river.
