Tammy Haggerty Jones received her M.A.T. from National- Louis University and her B.A. from Loyola University Chicago. She spent 15-years in the advertising/publishing industry before following her dream of becoming a teacher. Haggerty-Jones has been teaching at CCSD 168 for ten years. She believes in the benefits of museum education and has served on the advisory boards at John G. Shedd Aquarium and The Field Museum of Chicago for nine years. Haggerty-Jones received the Disney Hand Teacher Award, the Japan Fulbright Award, NLU’s Career Achievement Award, and Teacher of the Year from the Kids in Need Foundation. She has incorporated Wilderness Classroom expeditions into her curriculum for the past six years and teaches that Dave & Amy are the Lewis & Clark of today.
