Sometimes we hear birds, but we don’t see them. It might dark out, like when we heard an owl hooting near our camp a few days ago. The birds might be in the trees, hidden behind a tangle of branches. Most of the birds we tell you about are birds that we have actually seen and been able to identify based on how they look. We would like to figure out how to identify birds based on the sounds that the make. How can we learn how to identify bird calls? What resources are available to help identify the birds?
