Platnium Sponsor The Brinson Foundation is a philanthropic, non-profit organization whose purpose is to support educational, public health and scientific research programs that engage, inform and inspire committed citizens to confront the challenges that face humanity. Support from the Brinson Foundation has allowed us to provide full scholarships to seven Chicago Public Schools who would otherwise not be able to fully participate in the Trans-Amazon Expedition. Each scholarship includes two school visits, teacher training, and printed teachers’ guides. Support from the Brinson Foundation is also helping us strengthen our partnership with the Shedd Aquarium. |

Their INMARSAT BGAN service is a great way to send and receive data from remote locations and makes it possible for the Trans-Amazon Expedition's rich descriptions, imagery, and videos to reach out from the heart of the amazon and onto the internet. |

Northeastern Illinois University's Chicago Teachers' Center (CTC) was founded in 1978 as a resource for Chicagoland teachers to provide a wide range of professional development and instructional services at school sites. The Wilderness Classroom and the CTC have partnered to offer professional development workshop at CTC's Resource Center since 2005. |

INRENA (Instituto Nacional de Recursos Naturales) is the branch of the Peruvian government that is in charge managing their National Reserves. They have been extremely helpful during the planning of Project Peru, Project Peru 2, and the Trans-Amazon Expedition, and have given our team special permission to travel through areas of the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve that are normally closed to all visitors. |

Rumbo al Dorado is made up of a group of International nonprofit organizations who are dedicated to helping to protect the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve by working with local people to develop sustainable forms of eco-tourism with in the National Reserve. They have done a wonderful job of helping us plan for Project Peru, and we encourage you to contact them if you are interested in visiting the park. |
