How can we thank all of the generous people who help us?

Over the last few weeks we have been able to camp in beautiful places almost every night. The French River and Mattawa River have designated camping sites. Both rivers were ideal places for Amy and me to canoe and camp. Now we are entering more populated areas and camping places will be harder to find. We will probably have to ask people for permission to camp on their property. Plus, when we are in towns we will stay in people’s houses. Meeting people during our journey is one of the best parts of a journey like ours, but we often wonder how we should thank the people who offer us a place to stay, a warm meal, or help us along the way.

How should we thank the people who help us along the way? Is saying thank you enough, or should we give them something, or doing something for them in return? Send us your ideas and let us know what you would do to thank the people who help you during a journey like this.

You should make them something like a painting of some sort.

Hi. I think you guys are so cool. I am not sure what you should give the people, but you should give them all something nice.

You could entertain them by telling stories of the journey so far and maybe you could pick up some cool things that you find on your way and offer them to the people that have helped you guys.

Help them do something that might seem hard to them. Well that’s what I think you should do!
