< North American Odyssey

Amy is one of five recipients of this year's grant from Wild Gift!   Wild Gift is a non-profit organization that supports "better world entrepreneurs" through a 17-month, five-part program. Their mission is to give exceptional leaders, ages 21-30, a compelling experience in deep wilderness and the support to launch self-designed projects that promote stewardship of wild nature and the development of sustainable communities.  Wild Gift recipients are selected for their record of activism and an entrepreneurial project they propose.  Amy's proposed project is the Wilderness Classroom's North American Odyssey, slated to begin on Earth Day of 2010.

In August, Amy will participate in Wild Gift's 20-day deep wilderness trek in the mountains of Central Idaho.  She can't wait to meet fellow Wild Gift recipients and enjoy Idaho's rugged wilderness. In addition Wild Gift is providing funding and organizational support for Amy and the North American Odyssey.
