What: Wilderness Classroom Teacher Training
Where: Shedd Aquarium Education Center
When: Tuesday, November 15th, 2011; 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
Cost: FREE
Credits: 2 CPDUs
Who should attend: This training is geared towards teachers, media specialists, technology coordinators, curriculum specialists, librarians, and other educators working with 3rd through 8th grade students.
Plus, you will learn how your class can use the Internet to interact with workshop hosts, Dave Freeman and Amy Voytilla on their 12,000-mile journey across North America by canoe, kayak and dogsled. Specifically, the next leg of their journey will allow you and your students to interact with the explorers as they dogsled through the boreal forest and kayak through the Great Lakes, studying the plants, animals, and people of a vast, but threatened wilderness.
