This week's Cast YOUR Vote is about winter activities and the boreal forest. We have three options for you to choose from. Please help us decide what we should do. Once you pick the activity, we will do it and take photos and video of it and report back to you.

Good friends of ours live way outside of town. They do not have electricity or running water. Every winter they cut ice from their lake and store it in an ice house. These blocks of ice are what they use for refrigeration for their food in the summer time. These friends also happen to be Fennel's previous owners. Visiting them would give us a chance to introduce Fennel's relatives to you. Should we visit their homestead and help them cut ice?

The lakes here have a thick layer of ice on top of them. People use canoes to travel on these lakes in the summer. In the winter, we can ski on the ice and snow covering the lakes. When animals walk on the lakes, they leave tracks in the snow. Should we go for a ski on a lake and look for animal tracks?

The boreal forest is filled with several different types of trees. We could study the trees of the boreal forest. Studying the trees would help us learn how to identify them. We could also find out interesting facts about the different trees. Should we study the trees of the boreal forest?
