Exploring Gameti

Soon we will reach the community of Gameti! We are excited to see people again after a long time travelling on the land. What should we do while we are in Gameti?

Try to learn some words in Dogrib (the language that people traditionally speak in Gameti) and compare them to some of the Slavey words we learned during the first parts of our journey.

Learn about traditional foods and some of the food that people in Gameti like to eat.

Talk to people who have travelled the route we used to get here and learn why they travel it today and what they have used it for in the past. This route was traditionally called the Idaa Trail.
