We are having difficulty finding campsites printer.gif

For the past few days, we have had difficulty finding campsites. The river banks are no longer cow pastures, but dense jungle for the most part. Also, communities are more spaced apart than they were upriver. We need your help to figure out what to do about this problem. Should we start looking for beaches and potential campsites early in the day? Should we try to stay in houses with families? Please let us know what you think we should do and explain your reason.

What is your favorite part of the Trans-Amazon Expedition?

We think that you should stay with families, that way you will be safer, and get to really know their daily life then share some of the fruit you're given too.

stay at people's houses

explore the jungle

sleep under the canoe

find a bunch of sticks to make a fort out of them

use sand to make a dough to make a house

use big leaves, sticks and rocks to form a hut

stay hotel in a city

Max thinks you should try to stay in tents as long as possible so you could see more wildlife until there is absolutely no more places to stay. Then go stay with the families along the river. Others think that you should just stay with the families now, you've already stayed in tents long enough. Or if you find a small town you could stay in a hotel or community center.

it would be safer to stay with familys and you get to now the people

start looking earlier in the day because you may have a better chance of finding one-look while you are paddling.

Some of my class thinks you should ask the people if you can stay with them because the people seem so nice and generous.

Can you sleep in your boats?

I think you should stay with families. Maybe you could get to know more about the Amazon by talking with the families!
