Where does your water come from? printer.gif

Here in the Amazon, we are very aware of where our water comes from. If we are not careful, we can get sick drinking untreated water. As you know, we are especially aware of our water this week because we are drinking treated river water.

It is easy to not think about where our water comes from at home. We turn on the faucet and ta-da we usually have clean, safe water. However, before it reaches our homes, it comes from a city water plant or well.

Where does your water come from? Check it out and let us know. It might be from a well, a river, a lake, or a variety of other sources. Post the city or the area you live in, and where your water comes from. Let's try to get as many areas represented as possible!

What is your favorite part of the Trans-Amazon Expedition?
