Iron Chef Challenge
In Sao Jose da Surpresa we were given a few pounds of farina. We ate farina in Tefe, but we're still not all that sure how to use it, or what to do with it. We need your help to design recipes for us with farina. Do some research, and let us know what you come up with. We'll be in Coari, a large city on Saturday, and can buy limited food supplies. But, here's a list of what we have to work with already.
White Rice
Yucca
Onions
Garlic
Bananas
Black Pepper
Curry Powder
Oregano
Cumin
Spaghetti
Tomato Sauce
Oatmeal
Chunky Peanut Butter
Strawberry Jelly
In yesterday's Daily Dilemma, we asked you whether or not we should buy a pressure cooker to cook our beans. A majority of you said that we should buy the pressure cooker to save time and fuel. We will buy it in Coari and we will be very careful when using it.

You could have rice beans while you wait for the farini.

I am from Prairie Hill School in Illinois and i think that you should put the peanut butter on the yucca and sprinkle the farina on top.

We researched and were surprised to find out that Cream of Wheat is made from farina! Some of us have eaten farina and didn't even know it! We think you could make "Cream of Wheat" for breakfast instead of the same old oatmeal! So you will need to buy sugar or brown sugar, plus maybe some butter and cinnamon to make it taste delicious! It's good with milk too, so maybe you could buy some (but we're not sure you could keep it from spoiling.)

You can buy some chocolate and use the oatmeal, chocolate and farina. Use somthing sticky (and edible) to mold the oatmeal, chocolate and farina together. Your final product is a granola bar.
