Time for another celebration...what should we do?
We are quickly approaching the border region of Colombia, Peru, and Brazil. On Monday, we should cross into Brazil, where we will spend the rest of our time during the adventure. None of us have ever crossed an international border in a canoe, and we're pretty excited about it. We think this probably requires another celebration of some sort. What do you think we should do? The border cities of of Santa Rosa, Peru, Tabatinga, Brazil, and Leticia, Colombia are pretty big, so we will have access to more conveniences than normal. Put your heads together to come up with a party plan.

Dave, Frosty and Warren hang out with some local kids while taking a break from the paddling around 1:00. Thanks for the tip!

Catch some fish and cook it, have dinner together, invite people from the village to help celebrate, invite them to bring a dish to pass (a potluck!) and enjoy time together!Take an evening swim and don't forget to take pictures!

We think that you should go to a restaurant to taste something new - something instead of fish, lentils, and bananas. If you can afford it, you should stay in a hotel so you can relax and sleep in a bed. Maybe you can meet some people to go out and have fun with.

I think that you should take an empty water bottle and fill it with the water at the International Border and bring it back for the display at Shedd Aquarium.
If you can not bring back water, because of customs regulations, perhaps pick up a pebble or stone from the area and bring it back. You could shout out "Hello from America" as you cross the border, maybe you'll hear an echo! You are making history!

You should try to do something new in each country before you leave. Also you could have a small celebration of dinner and dancing with any new friends you have met.

We think you should have a dance party in a small village. You might even learn about some different dances they do in the Amazon. Therefore you can still have fun and learn at the same time.
