The mystery photo you just viewed is of a frog we found while packing up the canoes one day.   The frog seemed extremely attracted to the warm surface of our black paddles.   There are over 1,000 species of frogs found in the Amazon basin, more than anywhere else on earth.   Frogs are quite varied between species, but most rely on camoflauge and speed to avoid predators.   Most frogs eat insects and small fish, but some also will eat aquatic plants and flowers.
