I am the chestnut billed aracari.   I am a member of the toucan family, known as toucanets.   I am very well adapted to the rainforest, and fly through the dense forest with ease unknown to most birds.   My large bill helps me break into fruits and nuts found in the trees, but I will also eat insects and small animals too.   When aracaris are young, they are not as brightly colored.   This is probably to avoid predators while they are still learning to fly.   The beak, although big, isn't actually as heavy as it looks, because it's hollow.   However, the jaw muscles of an aracari (and any other toucanet for that matter) are incredibly strong.
