I think that you can use the gasoline and no harm will be done

I think you should use some gasoline for your Honda, some for your computer, and some for cooking stoves.

I do not know what leaded gas is but may work but in case it does not get another generator.

don't eat hot food just eat cold food

I think that you guys should buy the smallest amount of the leaded gasoline. Then, you should test it out on your Honda 1,000 EU generator. If this works, it will help a ton. if it doesn't work that will be hard. Research on the Honda EU claims that it is very fuel efficient. It runs for 8.3 hours on only one tank. I hope this helped!!

I did some reasearch and i found out that you probably can. On your computer look up the honda 1,000 EU. Try to do some other things like maybe try to get some more gas from other places.Sorry i couldn't give you anymore help.
Hope i gave you some help.

We called the Honda dealer, and we found out that you should not put leaded fuel in it because, over time it will destroy the motor. Here is the website if you need more information: http://www.hondaofriverhead.com/ and the number is 631-727-5510

This engine is certified to operate on regular unleaded gasoline with a pump octane rating of 86 or higher.
Never use stale or contaminated gasoline or an oil, gasoline mixture.Avoid getting dirt or water in the fuel tank.
You may use regular unleaded gasoline containing no more than 10% Ethanol (E10) or 5% Methanol by volume. In addition, Methanol must contain cosolvents and corrosion inhibitors.
Use of fuels with content of Ethanol or Methanol greater than shown above may cause starting and/or performance problems. It may also damage metal, rubber , and plastic parts of the fuel system.
Engine damage or performance problems that result from using a fuel with percentages of Ethanol or Methanol greater than shown above are not covered under warranty. So we say no to leaded gas. Boy it took us awhile to get this answer.

I think you should not use gas for your stoves. Maybe you can use fire instead.

Our teacher called the generator store. They told her the Honda 1000 EU is designed to run on unleaded fuel. He did say that it can run on leaded gas and didn't think it would ruin anything, but we weren't sure about that. Maybe it would be okay in an emergency.
We thought you could cook some meals over an open fire, and that would save fuel. Everyone will probably think of that. Could you cook more meals together ahead of time so you won't have to cook so often?

Our class called a dealer and found that your generator takes both leaded and unleaded fuel.

yes

Maybe there is some way that you can find food that doesn't need the gas to work. Maybe you just need to add hot water to it or something like that.

use the gas for things you really need

A couple of 7th grade class members found the Honda EU 2000ie Generator User Manual in a web search. They reported to the class and now to you that they think limited use of leaded gasoline or gasoline that has less than 86 octane level will work, but only for a time. Using it creates problems with residue, valve corrosion and exhaust system. They noted that a sign of problems is a continuous "spark knock or pinging" sound. If this occurs, the generator is in trouble.
